Side-Impact Collisions: Always be alert when you're approaching an intersection, driving in a parking lot, or find yourself in any situation where vehicles are driving in a variety of directions. It also helps to adjust your driving style to suit the outside road, traffic and weather conditions.

Rear-Impact Collisions: Be sure to leave enough room between your car and the car in front of you, while also scanning the surroundings to check for any reason that may cause them to suddenly stop. If you notice that the person driving behind you is entirely too close, try to pull off the road in a safe spot and let them drive on by.

Run Off-Road Collisions:Make sure to keep your focus on the road, adhere to speed limits and DO NOT get behind the wheel if you're tired or under the influence. These simple steps make it a lot less likely that you'll lose control of your vehicle and wind up off the road.

Collisions with Animals: Be alert when approaching posted animal crossings and go a little slower when driving in wildlife-friendly areas.
